For over thirty years Al Biernat has earned a reputation for service excellence by getting to know his customers and treating them right. The long time general manager and front door personality of the Dallas branch of New York’s famed The Palm Restaurant ventured out on his own and opened Al Biernat’s Restaurant in June of 1998. The stunning Mediterranean decor features high ceilings, massive columns, hand painted murals, gorgeous artwork, a stunning new covered patio, a cozy fireplace and a bar filled with sports memorabilia given to Al by the celebrity sports stars that frequent his establishment.
Only the finest 21 to 30 day aged Prime Beef from Chicago would be used and soon Al Biernat’s would become famous for cuts like dry aged bone-in New York strip, cowboy cut rib eye, tender filet mignons (regular, bone-in, and Kobe) and slow cooked prime rib. All steaks are marinated in Al’s secret blend of seasonings and broiled at 1800 degrees to seal in the flavor and juices. Al Biernat’s is also known for fresh seafood with features like Australian cold water lobster tails, jumbo lump crab cakes, five different types of fresh fish daily, premium caviar, jumbo sea scallops and a shrimp cocktail that has been named the city’s best. All items are prepared under the watchful eye of chef Andres Bautista and his skilled staff.
Under the direction of sommelier Todd Lincicome the wine program at Al Biernat’s has received national recognition and awards from publications such as Wine Spectator Magazine. The 650 plus selection wine list is strong in big California reds, North American Pinot Noir, French Bordeaux and Italian reds and features an inventory of over 10,000 bottles. There is also an extensive selection of the World’s finest super premium liquors, single-malt scotches, ports and cognacs.
